Overview

Tambola Number Caller is a live utility mobile application built to host Tambola (Housie) games at events, parties, and online sessions. The app automates number calling and visual display, removing the need for manual slips, physical boards, or external tools.

How It Started

The idea for Tambola Number Caller came from observing how Tambola games were traditionally managed using physical tokens or manual calling, which often led to mistakes, delays, and poor experience during large or online gatherings.

The Problem

Manual Tambola number calling is slow, error-prone, and difficult to manage, especially for large groups or virtual events. Hosts often struggle to maintain game flow and visibility for all players.

The Solution

Tambola Number Caller automates the entire number-calling process. Numbers are generated and displayed in real time through a clean interface, ensuring smooth gameplay and eliminating manual errors.

Market Impact

The app is widely used by families, event hosts, community groups, and online game organizers. It simplifies game hosting and improves the overall Tambola experience, making it accessible to both casual and large-scale events.

My Role

I independently designed, developed, and published the application. My responsibilities included UI development, game logic implementation, performance optimization, ad integration, and ongoing maintenance.

Challenges & Decisions

Key challenges included maintaining smooth performance on low-end devices, managing ad placements without interrupting gameplay, and ensuring consistent behavior across different screen sizes. These were addressed through performance optimization, UI tuning, and controlled ad triggers.

Architecture & System Design

The application is built using React Native with a performance-focused UI layer to ensure smooth animations and low latency. Ad monetization SDKs are integrated carefully to maximize revenue while preserving gameplay experience.
